Twickenham is a newly renovated and painted beach house nestled into the Burleigh Hill, backing onto the Burleigh Heads National Park.
It is the ideal family beach holiday house, with 4 bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 people, and is perfect for entertaining with 3 separate areas, a bbq area and front and rear decks.
It has a fireplace in the lounge room which is very relaxing during the winter months.
Twickenham is a comfortable and relaxed beach house in very quiet surroundings, in a section entitled `The Golden Triangle, with no highrise allowed in the area.
With the elevation of the house it gets lovely cool sea breezes, although each room has ceiling fans.
The house is situated on one 16 perch (480ha) block with an adjoining vacant grassed 16 perch block as part of the property.
This provides privacy, a grassed area for the kids to play, as well as providing a level paved area with an outdoor wood fired BBQ area, with seating. Lots of firewood supplied.
Kookaburras frequently perch on the back deck to be hand fed and brush turkeys venture from the National Park through the property looking for a feed.
The house is ideal for entertaining with a large outdoor deck at the entrance to the house as well as the outdoor BBQ area a few steps away.
The house is a relaxed 5 minute stroll to the work famous Burleigh Heads headland and beach.
Whilst Burleigh Point is a well known and popular surfing headland (surfboards/skis & body boards) slightly further north is the popular and safe patrolled family beach.
Directly across the road from the house is the 27ha Burleigh Heads National Park which embraces a wild national headland in the heart of the Gold Coast.
Accessible through the National Park, due south from the house is the ocean entrance to the Tallebudgera Creek.
This area of the Creek (5 minutes walk through a well established walking trail) is home to Echo beach and Sandy Cove, two beautiful still water swimming spots. These are not patrolled but across the Tallebudgera Creek Bridge is a patrolled still water beach.
MORE ON BURLEIGH HEADS:
Burleigh is located directly between Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise. Burleigh is 108km from Brisbane Airport and 13kms from the Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta. One hour drive from Brisbane and 15mins from Coolangatta Airport. For many Burleigh is the most appealing beach on the Gold Coast. It offers great beaches, a rugged headland as a National Park, beaches lined with beautiful parklands with picnic and BBQ facilities, without the hustle, bustle, glitz and highrise of Surfers Paradise.
There are numerous cafes and restaurants, beachside and in Burleigh Village (10 minutes walk) with an extensive shopping area in the village.
